Heather Nauert was born on 27 January 1970. Heather Ann Nauert is an American journalist and government official serving as Spokesperson for the United States Department of State since April 24, 2017, appointed by President Donald Trump.

She is a former ABC News correspondent as well as a past news presenter on the Fox News program Fox & Friends.

As a journalist, Nauert covered the 9/11 terror attacks, the war in Iraq and four presidential elections.

Heather Nauert joined the State Department as spokesperson in April 2017 after a career in broadcast journalism. Ms. Nauert was designated as Acting Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs on March 13, 2018 to October 10. 2018.

As a New York-based anchor and correspondent at the Fox News Channel, Ms. Nauert was responsible for overseeing breaking news on the top-rated US morning cable news show.

Heather Nauert regularly solo anchored programs on Fox and contributed to every news platform, including radio and internet, covering global and domestic crises and interviewing senior elected and military officials.
