Ossufo Momade is a former guerrilla of the Mozambican National Resistance. He was general secretary of RENAMO between 2005 and 2012, and was later replaced by Manuel Bissopo. Ossufo Momade was born on Nampula Island of Mozambique on January 30, 1961. In 1974, he was incorporated into the Mozambican People’s Liberation Forces (FPLM) following the Lusaka agreements in Nampula. In 1978, he joined the ranks of RENAMO.
